Public Awareness Communications Specialist
to support our Oil and Gas client located in Houston’s Energy Corridor. The ideal candidate will prepare documents and support the development of high-impact safety-related communications campaigns. You will lead Public Awareness measurement activities and provide program recommendations as needed.
Location:
Houston, TX 77079 (Energy Corridor)
Schedule:
Hybrid (Work from home Wednesdays & Fridays)
Contract:
1 Year
Pay Rate:
$35/hr (DOE)
The position also requires navigating regulator-driven audits and inspections related to the Public Awareness program. You must be a self-driven professional who delivers high-quality work, with outstanding written English, excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and proven flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and prepare safety-related communications and campaign documents
Lead Public Awareness measurement activities and recommend program improvements
Employ knowledge of communications and regulatory requirements to navigate audits and inspections
Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field
Experience:
7-10 years in a relevant communications position (oil & gas highly preferred)
Regulatory Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with Part 192 & 195 – Code of Federal Regulations, API Recommended Practice 1162
Confident, collaborative, and proactive approach
Strong experience in the development of communication pieces
Proficient with MS Office suite
