This is a contract-based, possible hybrid role for a Community Specialist. The position is based in Merrillville, IN, with flexibility for field and/or remote work. The Community Specialist will specialize in a role (Home-Based Caseworker, Mental Health Therapist, or Tutor) that fosters positive relationships within the community. Responsibilities vary based upon specialized role, but all roles include maintaining effective communication and ensuring a welcoming experience for all families. Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships Experience in community engagement and proven ability to foster connections within diverse populations Effective communication skills to convey ideas clearly and collaborate with team members and the community Ability to adapt to hybrid work conditions, balancing office, field, and/or remote responsibilities Familiarity with social service practices or educational support programs is preferred
