Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary media contact for local, regional, and national outlets Lead public relations efforts, including press releases, media pitches, and media kits Shape and protect the organization’s voice, narrative, and reputation Create compelling written content for media, partners, and internal audiences Manage and grow GCSC’s digital presence, including website and social media platforms Collaborate closely with digital marketing and creative teams Plan and oversee on-site media operations for hosted events Track and report on communications performance using analytics tools Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field 3–5 years of experience in sports communications, PR, media relations, or sports information Exceptional AP Style writing and editing skills Experience working with media in fast-paced, high-visibility environments Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools Familiarity with AI tools for copywriting and productivity is a plus Why Join the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission
