Overview
Renterra is a Series A–backed SaaS company modernizing the $100B+ equipment rental industry. We’re building the operating system for rental businesses, focused on complex, data-heavy workflows across operations, logistics, and billing. We’re hiring a Product Designer who moves fast, stays current with modern design and AI tooling, and works closely with engineering to ship high-quality product experiences. This role has end-to-end ownership over product design and a meaningful influence on our design system and how it evolves. This is a hybrid, Chicago-based role requiring regular in-office collaboration. You’ll work closely with the Product Manager and engineering team to take ideas from problem definition through shipped product.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end product design for key areas of our B2B SaaS product, moving quickly from concept to shipped experience
Design and iterate rapidly using modern AI-assisted tools, balancing speed with usability
Contribute to and evolve our codified design system, including making changes when needed
Rapidly prototype outside the design system when exploring new ideas or workflows
Work closely with the Product Manager and engineering team to define problems, make tradeoffs, and ship high-quality product
What We’re Looking For
Mid-level or Senior experience designing B2B SaaS products, with a strong portfolio showing speed, iteration, and ownership
Deep familiarity with modern design practices and AI-assisted workflows
Comfort designing both within a codified design system and rapidly outside of it
Strong product judgment and ability to simplify complex workflows
Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering in fast-moving teams
Nice to Have
Experience designing or maintaining a design system
Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g. Material UI, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript)
Experience designing AI-driven or AI-assisted product features
Background working in fast-moving startups or high-growth SaaS teams
