About the team and role
The team connects external market opportunities to GBG’s product strategy, ensuring investments are prioritized in high-growth areas and executed effectively. We partner across product, engineering, sales, and regional leadership to align market insights with product portfolio decisions, commercialization, and go-to-market execution. The Senior Manager of Market Planning & Strategy is responsible for shaping the enterprise-wide approach to market prioritization, GTM planning, and strategic investment decisioning. This role establishes the frameworks, governance, and operating rhythms that guide how the company evaluates opportunities and aligns resources. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of data, market insight, and cross-functional leadership. What you will do
Strategic Frameworks & Governance Develop and maintain the company’s market segmentation, prioritization, and scoring frameworks. Lead the annual and multi year market planning process, defining the methodologies and governance models used across the business. Establish the decision criteria for market entry, exit, and expansion scenarios. Partner with Marketing, Sales, Sales Ops, and RevOps to translate long-range GTM strategy into operational plans. Define the macro GTM architecture (route-to-market mix, coverage models, solution focus). Facilitate cross-functional alignment on investment recommendations, opportunity sizing, and resource allocation. Executive-Level Communication & Influence
Prepare and deliver high-quality insights, narratives, and recommendations for senior leadership. Act as the central point of contact for all market planning inquiries, decisions, and escalations. Thought Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Monitor industry trends, competitive movements, and structural shifts to inform planning cycles. Evolve the company’s market planning practices, tools, and processes over time. Skills we're looking for
7–10+ years in strategy, market planning, GTM strategy, or similar functions. Strong capability in structured problem solving, data-driven decision making, financial modelling, executive communication. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborative mindset and ability to work across functions in a global organization. Understanding of pricing strategies, revenue levers, and commercial frameworks. Comfort navigating ambiguity and building new processes from scratch. Experience in sales planning or GTM strategy strongly preferred. Interest in fraud, identity, or SaaS technology markets is a plus. To find out more
