Summary
We are seeking an established senior marketing professional with a strategic mindset and a knack for creating impactful marketing campaigns. As our Senior Marketing Specialist, you will develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns that support CSBA’s programs, services, events and advocacy initiatives. Under the direction of the Director, Marketing and Communications, you will partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver creative, data-informed, and results-driven projects that support CSBA’s mission to strengthen public education governance in California; performs related duties as assigned. Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to execute communications plans aligned with CSBA’s goals. Develop and lead email marketing campaigns, manage regular website updates and future developments, and other digital communications to maintain and enhance engagement with membership, drive registration, and attendance at CSBA events, and encourage participation in advocacy initiatives; monitors for quality and branding guidelines. Analyze campaign performance, interpret data and prepare reports and recommendations to improve effectiveness. Forecasts and tracks marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data to make recommendations. Facilitate and support the development of marketing content such as brochures, event collateral and newsletters, ensuring alignment with brand standards. Evaluate member insights that inform strategic direction. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met. Represent CSBA at events and collaborate with members and partners to enhance brand presence and engagement. Contribute to a creative, inclusive and results-oriented team culture. Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or higher with major coursework in marketing, communications, journalism, public affairs/relations, public or business administrative, or related field with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in marketing or digital communications with programs and projects similar to those administered by an Association or related experience. Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders on time and in budget. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge of project and marketing campaign management, from strategy through execution. Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CMS platforms and project management software. Proficiency in content creation, email marketing platforms and digital analytics tools. Advanced understanding of current trends in digital media, marketing and communication strategy. Creative mindset with attention to detail and quality. Experience in associations, education or advocacy-focused organizations is preferred. Experience in market research or data analysis. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all work. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds, hand truck available to assist. Ability to sit at computer for long periods of time and have the dexterity to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator, and operate standard office equipment.
