Part Time - Weekend



100% Remote

Hours/Schedule Overview: This remote position operates from Saturday to Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM OR 4 PM to 12 AM. The Editorial Operations Specialist ensures the smooth delivery scheduling and quality assurance of entertainment content across multiple platforms. This detail-oriented role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, organizational abilities, and cross-functional collaboration to uphold service standards and support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Serve as the point of contact for weekend editorial operations.

Content Scheduling & Publishing

Manage weekend editorial calendars across platforms and homescreens.

Schedule and publish content using CMS tools ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on promotions and features.

Editorial Support

Support merchandising efforts by managing content updates, additions, changes and removals across multiple platforms using various content management systems.

Assist with major merchandising initiatives including programming setup, entitlement validation, and screenshot capture.

Program and troubleshoot sports news promotions for live linear and OTT events.

Monitor live content for accuracy, functionality, and visual integrity.

Flag and resolve any issues related to broken links, incorrect assets, or publishing errors.

QA Triage

Troubleshoot content issues using internal databases, ticketing systems, and lookup tools in coordination with internal and external teams.

Monitor content delivery from external partners ensuring compliance with service level agreements and escalate when necessary.

Oversee QA ticketing and triage to ensure proper ingestion and platform functionality.

Verify and troubleshoot sports promotions for live linear and OTT events across platforms.

UX Editorial Design

(Nice to have, not required)

Design high-fidelity UI components, layouts, and visual assets for all platforms.

Translate user research and wireframes into visually engaging and user-friendly designs.

Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across platforms.

Create prototypes and mockups to communicate design concepts and interactions.

Strong portfolio showcasing digital design work with a focus on user experience.

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar.

Solid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and interaction design.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in digital content publishing, editorial operations, or merchandising.

Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital asset management tools.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience in graphic design, visual design, or UX/UI design.

Strong multitasking and organizational capabilities, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Clear and effective communicator with internal teams and external partners.

Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues using a variety of tools.

Dependable and self-directed during weekend shifts with consistent and punctual attendance.

Experience with content management systems, scheduling tools, and ticketing platforms (e.g., Jira).

Adaptable to evolving team needs and ad hoc responsibilities.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
