Global Mobility Compliance Specialist

WorkFlex, New Bremen, Ohio, United States

Save Job

Overview Successful businesses think globally - but complex compliance challenges create significant barriers to global operations, forcing teams to spend vast amounts of time, money, and energy on administration instead of strategic priorities.

Traditional compliance approaches are too slow, vague, and expensive for modern business dynamics. That's why we've built the platform that automates compliance and duty of care for business travel, workations, and international assignments.

Our vision:

A world where global business knows no borders - where compliance is effortless, so growth has no limits.

Your role in this mission:

We’re looking for a Global Mobility Specialist (Assignments) who brings strong technical Global Mobility expertise and enjoys translating complex rules into scalable, system-ready logic – balancing accuracy and pragmatism in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

Responsibilities

What you will do :

Turn complex rules into clear guidance:

Translate tax, social security, employment law, and immigration requirements into practical frameworks and decision paths that people (and systems) can use.

Support compliant tax & payroll outcomes:

Bring your understanding of international tax principles (e.g., double taxation, OECD logic) plus concepts like hypo tax and shadow payroll into our compliance checks and recommendations.

Map key compliance requirements for assignments:

Ensure topics like A1/CoC, EU notifications, and labour-law related obligations are correctly reflected in our processes – consistent, auditable, and scalable.

Enable immigration checks (without case handling):

Contribute visa/work permit knowledge to our logic and checks – no operational case management, but strong input into “what’s required when”.

Build the numbers behind the assignment:

Create and validate balance sheet approaches and cost projections, including GM metrics like COLA/QOLA and core assumptions.

Improve and scale what we do:

Help design and continuously refine automated GM processes – with a strong focus on quality, speed, and client value.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in Global Mobility, International HR, or assignment-related functions.

Hands-on exposure to assignments from a policy, compliance, analytics, or process perspective.

Proficiency in both German and English.

Strong analytical skills and an interest in automation / system-based work.

Structured, independent working style and ownership mindset.

Comfortable balancing accuracy, pragmatism, and pace in a client-driven environment.

Benefits

Contribute to building the future of the fastest-growing HR Tech start-up in Germany backed by prominent customers such as Scout24, Vodafone, Biontech, and others, as well as funding from top-tier VC and angel investors.

A monthly budget of €200 to spend on

co-working space and/or

♀️ sports subscriptions.

Competitive salary and VSOPs (Virtual Stock Options) to share in our success.

Work from anywhere in a remote-only company and go on workations for up to 183 days a year.

Merit-based culture with substantial growth opportunities.

Trust-based work – organize your own schedule. We want to celebrate results, not hours spent working.

Collaborative team culture where everyone's input is valued to shape the sales efforts, approaches, and processes.
