The pay range per hour is $23.75 - $40.40. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and, in some cases, education, work experience and certifications. All About Assets Protection (AP): AP teams keep guests, team members and the brand secure, leading through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing theft and fraud to ensure products are available for guests. Support total store sales and profitability by ensuring products are in stock and available to guests. Welcome and engage guests at the front of the store and on the salesfloor. Influence and validate physical security and safety processes; participate in store response and emergency situations; create security plans for in-store events. Educate teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures. Develop, coach and lead team members to elevate skills per leader guidance. Anticipate staffing needs and support talent planning with a culture of accountability and clear performance expectations. Identify theft and shortage trends and develop tactics to reduce loss and drive profitable sales. Lead a team of hourly team members; conduct interviews, development, evaluation and retention activities. Maintain schedules and adjust based on security and theft trends; align to guest and business needs (early morning/overnight shifts, evenings, weekends). Own prevention of external theft, including budgeting for merchandise protection; resolve theft with sound judgment and policy-adherent apprehensions. Initiate, investigate and resolve internal investigations as directed by AP leadership. Educate store leadership on merchandise protection best practices and audit execution with key partners. Implement operational changes as directed by leaders; support shortage priorities. Order merchandise protection devices as needed; manage budgets and follow Merchandise Protection Best Practices. Communicate AP priorities to team, peers and leadership. Build trustful relationships with leadership, store directors, district leaders and law enforcement. Ensure teams and tactics maintain Target’s reputation; collaborate with partners to analyze industry trends and enhance guest and team security. Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions; support onboarding and training to close skill gaps. Demonstrate ethical conduct and compliance; hold the team accountable to this commitment. Maintain required training; serve as first responder for in-store safety incidents and execute Target procedures. Model and promote a safety culture; identify and correct hazards in partnership with store leaders; assist with incident response and timely injury reporting. Lead safety program management activities (e.g., Monthly Safety Meetings/Observations). Engage in legal proceedings as necessary to represent Target’s interests and model physical security processes to improve in-store security culture. Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including storage and application per best practices. Create a welcoming guest experience by greeting guests and assisting with needs; thank guests for shopping at Target. Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).
