POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Manager of Strategic Communications & Media Relations to join Diversified Energy’s communications function, which includes external communications, media relations, strategic brand development, and reputational management. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations & Corporate Communications, this role will be responsible for developing Diversified Energy into a powerful and influential brand, and developing and executing compelling communications and media relations strategies across all channels to enhance the firm's reputation and drive impact. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the importance of a strong and clear communications purpose and know how to execute strategies that effectively reach and influence audiences that deploy investment capital, regulatory influence, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable solutions. In addition to working directly with the Investor Relations & Communications team, this position will work closely with the Vice President of Government Affairs, the Manager of Community Affairs, and Human Resources. This role will help manage a third-party communications consultant relationship to support external communications and media relations. Key Responsibilities: Align and steward brand messaging and storytelling across all channels, including media, website, social media, press releases, presentations, and events. Produce a comprehensive media relations strategy to increase corporate awareness and visibility. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other media professionals. Coordinate and manage 25th anniversary campaign and events. Own media outreach efforts, media kits, and interviews. Internal and external communications responsibilities: External: Work with the team to ensure we are building our brand with our target audiences and that our teams are properly and effectively representing our brand with external audiences - all channels - including media, website, and social media optimization. Internal: Work with the team to develop a strong employer brand and communications approaches that support a strong culture and highly engaged workforce. This role will support internal strategies that help inspire the organization, understand our strategies, stay true to our brand and values and manage change. Develop and execute compelling content: Lead strategic, creative campaigns across our channels that will include the creation and design of high-quality content, media articles, and social media content that showcase the company’s investment thesis and our unique approach to catalyzing the market as the PDP Champion. This will happen in partnership with our third-party Maintain and update brand guidelines and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. Ownership of the Corporate Communications Policy and Crisis Communications Policy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with the financial team, government relations, EHS&R (environmental, health, safety, and regulatory), Sustainability, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure alignment and support business objectives. Coordinate and manage 25th anniversary campaign and events. Track and measure the impact of communications efforts: Work with the team to measure and monitor key metrics, analyze media performance, and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of communications activities. This includes monitoring brand reputation and awareness, and analyzing corporate sentiment and trust. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, and public relations with a strong track record of success in developing and executing integrated communication campaigns. Media or Communications Agency experience required. Proven leadership experience in building, managing, and measuring strong brands, with a deep understanding of brand strategy and storytelling. Possesses the ability to develop strategies and assessments for a growing, complex, and fast-paced organization. Experience in influencing investor audiences is strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using social media platforms and other digital communication tools. Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential information with the greatest care. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
