At Houston Methodist, the Marketing Specialist position is responsible for partnering with and supporting marketing management in driving preference and volume for assigned programs/service lines and maximizing the impact of assigned sponsorships. This client-facing role fosters positive relationships with hospital stakeholders, physicians and vendors as assigned and contributes to the development, implementation, measurement, and optimization of marketing/sponsorship plans. The Marketing Specialist contributes to developing effective business cases with management, digital, web, market research and other cross functional teams to drive positive change in partnership with hospital operations.

Responsibilities include

partnering with and supporting marketing management; developing, implementing, measuring, and optimizing marketing/sponsorship plans; fostering relationships with hospital stakeholders, physicians, and vendors; and contributing to business cases with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in partnership with hospital operations.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field

Experience : Four years experience related to Marketing and Communications

Licenses and Certifications : Required

Service Essential Functions

Develops plans, campaigns, creative kickoffs, and event strategy; implements and measures KPI performance under guidance of manager; manages projects with vendors and creative teams; delivers assets to drive results; collaborates on content for web, collateral, blog, newsletters, advertising and press releases.

Provides advisory input to clients to help make sound business decisions by identifying needs, assessing issues, and problem-solving.

Quality/Safety Essential Functions

Contributes to strategy and performance assessments for programs and sponsorships; develops business cases by gathering/analyzing data; identifies opportunities to improve the Houston Methodist experience for consumers; develops clear communications, reports, and presentations with compelling data for leadership; reviews marketing collateral to ensure alignment with guidelines.

Finance Essential Functions

Submits invoices on time and tracks and adheres to budgets for assigned projects.

Identifies gaps and opportunities to optimize strategy in partnership with manager; proactively solves problems; grows marketing knowledge; ensures career discussions with management.
