The Senior Merchandiser – Women’s Running Apparel will support Women’s Running Apparel through consumer-centric merchandising strategies during a parent leave coverage assignment. This role focuses on driving seasonal assortments, leveraging consumer insights, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver strong retail and marketplace outcomes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, has a strong product mindset, and brings a deep understanding of apparel merchandising and performance categories.

Responsibilities

Build and manage consumer-centric assortment plans informed by marketplace, sales, and trend insights

Drive seasonal and multi-season assortment planning across Women’s Running Apparel

Translate consumer, sales, and marketplace insights into in-season and future-season strategies

Prepare seasonal tools and materials to support marketplace and cross-functional partners

Balance and manage multiple seasons simultaneously, contributing insights to future line plans

Partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, Brand Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Analytics teams

Analyze retail metrics including sell-through, margin, inventory, and weeks of supply

Support seasonal reviews and assortment builds in collaboration with merchandising partners

Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance team environment

Must Have

Must be local to WHQ and available to start ASAP (no relocation candidates)

4+ years of experience in footwear, apparel, and/or accessories merchandising, product creation, or retail within a vertical, multi-brand, or digital environment

Strong affinity for product, consumer insights, and trend analysis

Solid understanding of retail and digital metrics (sell-through, margin, inventory, weeks of supply, etc.)

Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable merchandising strategies

Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have

Industry experience in apparel and/or performance sports categories (Running, Fitness/Training, Outdoor)

Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Operations

Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and influence within a matrix organization

Experience in a large global apparel or performance brand environment (fast ramp-up preferred)
