Your future begins here! Summary/Objectives

The Commercial Portfolio Manager II supports the commercial loan and deposit portfolio of one or more Relationship Managers (Commercial, CRE or Middle Market) providing quality underwriting, sound portfolio management and superior client service. Essential Functions

Analyzes financial information to evaluate the credit worthiness of new loan requests, renewal loan requests and ongoing portfolio management activities through thorough and accurate analyses within the parameters of the Bank's policies and procedures. Completes industry research, as needed, supporting existing and new Customers to the Bank. Compiles commercial loan packages (non BL and BLE) ensuring completeness and accuracy of information provided, including a written credit memo with background information on the Customer, financial analysis of the Borrower, Guarantors and proposed transaction, risk assessment, proper risk grading and a thoughtful recommendation. Completes additional credit analysis through in-depth tools outside traditional spreads and global cash flow when needed (e.g., CRE analysis tool). Guides the loan request through the Credit Approval Process and ensures the structure meets the needs of the client and Bank objectives. Ensures large commercial loan relationships comply with State and Federal regulations and Bank policies and procedures. Monitors and services large commercial loan portfolios via portfolio management tasks such as covenant testing and tracking, annual servicing reviews, and exception clearing. Property grades risk of each loan in the assigned portfolio per policy and recommends adjustments as information changes. Assists Relationship Manager in credit presentations to Credit Administration or other leaders and committees. Ensures all required documentation is on file for loans and treasury management approvals; works with the Relationship Manager and LOA to clear deficiencies noted by Loan Operations or other reviews. Periodically accompanies Relationship Manager on calls with existing or prospective Customers as requested. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with internal partners (Loan Operations, Credit Administrators, Credit Leadership, Local Leadership, Branch Personnel, etc.). Undertakes special projects related to the job function as determined by Credit Administration Leadership. Continuously updates skills by participating in professional training and opportunities to improve skills through Bank cross-training. Works with Relationship Manager, Credit Administrators and Loan Assistant to minimize past due loans. Acts as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects within the context of risk management. Demonstrates a commitment to fair lending practices and remains knowledgeable of applicable laws and regulations governing lending activities; ensures compliance with Bank policies, State and Federal regulations. Maintains positive relationships with attorneys, appraisers, developers and others to enhance the Bank's reputation; stays informed about Bank products and services. Adheres to all corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements including BSA, AML, CIP and OFAC to aid in detecting and deterring money laundering or other unlawful activities. Education : Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field; Graduation from a recognized school of banking is an asset or equivalent experience Experience : Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, or business banking with at least 2 years of portfolio management and/or underwriting experience. Familiarity with loan structuring and loan documentation is required. Certifications/Specific Knowledge : Knowledge in accounting and lending principles, and strong oral and written communication skills. In-depth knowledge of Federal and State lending regulations and Bank policies related to lending procedures. Training Requirements/Classes

Required annual compliance training; New Employee Orientation Physical Demands

Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations; a large amount of time is spent in front of a computer. May require sitting or standing with a suitable workspace, and bending or reaching as needed. Work Environment

Telecommuting roles require a secure home office free from background noise and distractions, with a reliable private internet connection (not cellular hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Travel may be required for meetings as needed.
