
About the Content and Social Media Manager
As a Content & Social Media Manager at a21 , you’ll be at the center of how our events and agency brands show up across digital platforms. You’ll own the content strategy, execution, and performance across social media, influencer and email channels for a portfolio of nationally recognized food, wine, spirits, and lifestyle events. From planning content calendars to live event coverage, influencer partnerships, and storytelling across multiple mediums, you’ll play a key role in building awareness, engagement, and community for a21 and our brands. This role requires equal parts strategist, creator, and community manager — someone who loves culture, stays ahead of trends, and can balance high-level planning with on-the-ground execution.
What You’ll Do
Develop and manage monthly content calendars across multiple events/brands (social, email, blog)
Translate creative briefs and brand guidelines into content that drives engagement and conversions
Work closely with design, marketing, partnerships, and production teams to align messaging with event and brand goals
Social Media Management
Manage daily posting and engagement across Instagram, Facebook and any new social platforms needed
Lead live social coverage during events, capturing real-time content that sparks buzz
Respond to guest inquiries, comments, and DMs with brand voice and care.
Content Creation & Copywriting
Write fresh, compelling copy for social posts, newsletters, blogs and event recaps
Edit content for clarity, tone, and impact across digital and print formats
Brief and manage photographers/videographers to capture event content with clear deliverables
Influencer & Partner Engagement
Develop and manage influencer relationships: pre, during, and post-event
Coordinate giveaways, campaigns, and cross-promotional content with partners
Support sponsor deliverables by integrating partner content into social and digital channels
Analytics & Growth
Track and report on engagement, reach, and performance across platforms
Use data and insights to optimize content strategy and audience growth
Stay ahead of digital/social trends and recommend new formats and creative approaches
What We’re Looking For
5-8 years of experience in social media and content marketing (agency or event experience a plus)
Proven ability to manage multiple brand accounts across different platforms
Strong copywriting and editing skills with an eye for storytelling
Experience with Instagram Reels, TikTok trends, and video-forward content creation
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel (including nights/weekends) for on-site event coverage
Passion for food, wine, spirits, culture, and event
