
The Portfolio Management Analyst will work closely and collaboratively with the investment and advisory teams within the organization to support day-to-day asset management responsibilities. This includes owning the responsibility for collecting, managing and analyzing data to facilitate portfolio management functions such as rebalancing, managing liquidity, and reporting on performance, implementing investment strategies across client portfolios, and assisting with client presentations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform portfolio rebalancing program in accordance with decisions made by Investment Committee. Participate in team effort regarding rebalancing software best practices, education, training and maintenance. Participates in Investment Committee meetings and contributes ideas to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the portfolio management process. Place trades for portfolio rebalancing initiatives, periodic portfolio reviews and cash requests/contributions. Manage daily processes across software, including updating and maintaining investment data, model portfolios, and client parameters. Update investment strategy that will drive changes to the target model portfolios informed by thematic changes in the economic environment. Assist with quality control within our portfolio management systems. Review client performance and asset allocation reports, and research and resolve discrepancies as identified. Adhere to required SEC compliance rules and manage compliance related tasks such as documenting deviations from policy, and effectuating and monitoring trade reconciliation processes. Perform monthly trades for client dollar-cost-average programs and retirement account contributions. Preparation of client presentations including standard Financial Reviews, Financial Plans, Needs Analysis, Retirement Funding, Educational Funding, Estate Planning etc., as needed. Other projects as needed. EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's Degree required, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field a plus Current designation holder of or candidate for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) highly preferred; or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) a plus. One to three years’ experience desired or, at a minimum, internship or co-op experience in a financial services related field. Experience with Tamarac a plus Experienced user of financial spreadsheets and other financial software applications Tax, estate planning, retirement planning and insurance experience a plus, but not required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills a must. COMPETENCIES
