full-time, on-campus Vocational Nursing (VN) Program Director
to provide
comprehensive academic, clinical, and operational leadership
for a California Vocational Nursing program based in
Stanton, California . This role carries
full responsibility and accountability
for the VN program, including
theory instruction, skills lab education, and clinical training , as well as faculty leadership, student outcomes, and ongoing compliance with
BVNPT requirements . The Program Director plays a central role in shaping an educational environment that produces
high-quality, practice-ready Vocational Nurses .
Role Overview The VN Program Director serves as the
primary academic and regulatory leader
of the program and is responsible for the
design, delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement
of all program components. This is a
hands-on, on-campus role
with direct involvement in academic operations and instructional quality across theory, lab, and clinical settings.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Regulatory Compliance Serve as the VN Program Director in accordance with
BVNPT regulations and Article 5 Provide full oversight of the Vocational Nursing program, including academic, clinical, and operational components Ensure ongoing compliance with all BVNPT requirements, policies, reporting obligations, and site review standards Act as the primary point of contact for BVNPT communications, reviews, and site visits Theory, Lab, and Clinical Oversight Oversee
theory instruction , ensuring curriculum delivery aligns with approved program objectives and instructional hour requirements Oversee
skills lab instruction and evaluation , including: Lab scheduling, supervision, and safety Skills competency validation and documentation Oversee
clinical education , including: Clinical site coordination and instructor oversight Student clinical evaluation and progression Compliance with VN scope of practice and clinical hour requirements Ensure strong alignment and integration across theory, lab, and clinical components Curriculum & Instructional Quality Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of the VN curriculum Review and approve syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, skills checklists, and evaluation tools Maintain instructional rigor that supports clinical judgment development and
NCLEX-PN readiness Faculty Leadership & Development Lead faculty recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, mentoring, and evaluation Ensure faculty qualifications and assignments meet BVNPT standards Foster a high-quality instructional culture focused on consistency, accountability, and student success Student Outcomes & Program Excellence Oversee student progression, remediation, retention, and completion Address academic or clinical performance issues promptly and appropriately Build a program culture focused on professionalism, competence, and readiness for practice Take ownership of program outcomes, including graduate preparedness and licensure readiness Required Qualifications Meets
BVNPT qualifications for Vocational Nursing Program Director Active, unencumbered
California RN license Prior experience as: VN Program Director or Assistant Director,
or Senior instructional leader in a BVNPT-approved VN program Demonstrated experience overseeing
theory, lab, and clinical instruction Strong working knowledge of BVNPT regulations, VN scope of practice, and nursing education standards Ability and willingness to work
full time on campus
