Design, build, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in GCP (Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, or GKE-based deployments).

Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA, including deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals.
Strong experience working in GCP environments, especially Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL.
Expertise in performance tuning, explain plans, vacuuming strategies, and connection pooling (pgBouncer/pgPool).
Strong understanding of GCP networking, IAM roles, VPC, and private services.
Hands‑on experience with backup/restore tools, WAL archiving, logical replication, and high-availability setups.
Proficiency in Terraform (or other IaC tools), and scripting (Python/Bash).
Experience with monitoring and alerting for PostgreSQL and cloud environments.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BigQuery, GKE, or hybrid/multi‑cloud PostgreSQL deployments.
Knowledge of Kubernetes operators for PostgreSQL such as CloudNativePG, Patroni, or CrunchyData.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, or SRE methodologies.
Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Database Engineer, Cloud Architect).
