
POSITION SUMMARY: The Payer Relations Manager is responsible for managing relationships with payers, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with regulations to optimize revenue cycle operations. This role also plays a critical part in BVEP’s integrations processes by evaluating fee schedules and contract rates for business entities exploring partnership with BVEP.
This position is eligible for Remote Work.
WHAT WE OFFER: • Starting salary of $80,000 - $90,000 based on previous experience • 6.5 paid holidays per year + 2 Floating holidays • Approximately 10 days of PTO within first year • Full slate of benefits to include health, dental, vision, and 401k
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee the full life cycle of managed care contracts, including organization, compliance, and supporting all negotiations • Serve as the primary point of contact for payer representatives, addressing and resolving issues related to enrollment, underpayments, and billing challenges • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at health plans to promote collaboration and resolve systemic issues • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on payer strategies and resolution of issues • Analyze market trends, payer policy changes, and coverage landscape to proactively adapt strategy • Develop and manage the repository of payer and contract specific resources and documentation to support internal teams and providers • Review and evaluate fee schedules and contracts of newly partnered practices to evaluate reimbursement opportunities • Ensure that the billing systems are updated with the appropriate fees and rates • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related degree required. • 5+ years of experience in payer relations, market access, and/or managed care within the healthcare industry required. • Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities
