Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Operations leader to support the Consumer, Marketing, Communications, and Design (CMCD) organization during a parental leave coverage period. This role acts as a trusted operational partner to CMCD leadership, ensuring continuity across planning, operating cadence, resource management, and performance oversight.
The contractor will focus on execution, decision support, and operational rigor running established rhythms, managing resources, driving alignment across partners, overall enabling leadership to move quickly and effectively. This is a hands-on role requiring strong judgment, financial acumen, and the ability to operate independently in a complex, matrixed environment. The contractor will lead a team of business operations professionals, each accountable for a distinct set of deliverables supporting CMCD priorities.
Responsibilities:
Operating Model & Cadence
Own and run the CMCD operating cadence, including leadership meetings, business reviews, planning checkpoints, and All Hands Set agendas, prepare materials, document decisions, and communicate outcomes to ensure clarity and follow-through Maintain clear handoffs, decision rights, and ways of working across Product / Commercial, Design, HR, Finance, Marketing, Risk, and other cross-functional partners
Planning & Prioritization
Support mid-long-term planning, translating leadership priorities into executable plans and milestones Drive prioritization discussions by aligning strategy to capacity, resources, and delivery constraints Surface risks, tradeoffs, and dependencies to enable timely leadership decisions
Resource & Financial Management
Oversee Opex and headcount tracking and monitoring, including budget pacing, forecasts, and variance analysis Support Org design and workforce planning, partnering with Finance and People teams as needed Oversee vendor and supplier spend, ensuring alignment to priorities and cost discipline
Performance & Execution Oversight
Track progress against priorities, KPIs, and commitments; identify gaps and course-correct as needed Synthesize data, insights, and performance trends into clear executive-level readouts Ensure operational readiness and execution discipline across initiatives
Cross-Functional Partnership
Act as the primary business operations interface with Finance, HR, Marketing, Product, Risk, Enterprise Operations, and other corporate partners Drive alignment across teams to ensure seamless execution and minimize friction Support transformation and process improvement initiatives already in flight
Communications & Executive Support
Support internal communications, including leadership updates, org-wide messaging, and executive presentations Develop high-quality decks and written narratives for senior leadership audiences
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, finance, or consulting within a large, matrixed organization Strong experience managing operating cadence, planning processes, and resource management Demonstrated financial acumen, including budget management and investment tradeoff analysis Exceptional executive communication skills, including storyboarding and deck development Highly organized, independent operator with strong judgment and bias for action Comfortable navigating, ambiguity and influence without authority Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Pay Transparency:
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is:
$62.00 - $64.00 /hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts with qualified medical plan enrollment, 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, accommodations and reimbursement for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus.
