Position Overview
Protouch Staffing is seeking a seasoned HR Director with healthcare system experience to support a large, complex hospital and community health network in Houston, TX. This role functions as a senior-level HR Business Partner providing strategic workforce leadership across community hospitals and system-wide clinical and non-clinical departments .
The HR Director will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, driving workforce planning, clinician and staff engagement, organizational effectiveness, labor relations support, and change management initiatives in a regulated healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner within a healthcare system , supporting hospital leadership and executive teams Advise leaders on healthcare workforce strategy , organizational design, and culture transformation Partner on talent acquisition strategy, clinician retention, succession planning, and leadership development Support employee relations in a healthcare environment, including performance management and corrective action guidance Collaborate with Compensation and Benefits teams on market-based pay structures and workforce planning Lead and support change management initiatives tied to healthcare operations, growth, and transformation Drive engagement and retention strategies for clinical and non-clinical staff Apply project management methodologies to HR initiatives impacting hospital operations Ensure HR practices align with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and system policies Healthcare-Focused Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required) Master's degree preferred (HR, Business, Healthcare Administration) 10+ years of HR leadership experience within healthcare organizations , hospitals, or health systems 5+ years of people management experience in a healthcare or highly regulated environment Demonstrated experience supporting: Hospital leadership teams and healthcare executives Workforce planning for clinical and non-clinical staff Change management in healthcare systems Leadership development in hospital or multi-site environments
Strong knowledge of healthcare labor practices, workforce trends, and regulatory considerations Healthcare & Technical Skills
