As advocates for the organization, Route Sales Support Driver strive to generate goodwill and loyalty for the organization while performing their work in a professional manner at all times./ppResponsibilities/Essential Functions:/pulliSafely operate a company step van in designated area to provide products and service to a variety of clients./liliVerify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation./liliManage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product./liliLoads/unloads product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines./liliReview invoices daily for complete and accurate information and make corrections as needed./liliMeet sales goals and promotes overall route growth to enhance profitability./liliDevelop leads/prospects, calls on prospective customers to solicit business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts. Assists the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business./liliPossess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and can clearly communicate these to customers./liliMonitor customer feedback and handle customer issues in a prompt and courteous manner./liliTake responsibility for your personal safety and watch out for the safety of others. Use safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment, and adhere to all safe work practices and policies./liliPerform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above./li/ulpKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:/pulliMust be a minimum of 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license, and excellent driving record./liliCustomer service experience with a wide variety of consistent customer contact./liliStrong math and basic computer skills./liliDemonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business preferred./liliExcellent customer service and verbal communication skills required./liliAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify/solve customer concerns./li/ulpWorking Environment/Safety Requirements:/pulliWorking Conditions Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions which may include extreme hot/cold temperatures depending on geographical location. Fast-paced environment sometimes requiring irregular and long hours./liliPhysical Requirements Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from truck without assistance. Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs.
