Our diverse work portfolio includes broad accreditation offerings and tested insights across the environmental, food and nutrition and life science markets./ph3Job Summary/h3pUnder the general direction of the Director of Sales, the Business Development Specialist will play a fundamental role in achieving revenue growth objectives by sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and generating new leads for their location and satellite laboratories. The Business Development Specialist is responsible for prospecting, capturing new clients and sales to drive an increase in revenue. The Business Development Specialist must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as strong organizational and follow-up skills./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliProspecting and capturing new clients by sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails/liliCultivate strong, collaborative relationships with clients, helping them to achieve their business goals through services Microbac offers/liliDevelop and execute business plans resulting in the growth in sales revenue/liliMaintain up to date knowledge and understanding of industry trends, conditions, regulatory requirements, and competitors pricing, and other factors that may influence customers in order to present them with honest and accurate value propositions that favor utilizing our services/liliCollaborate closely with members of the sales team and laboratory technical staff to understand current and future service offerings and capabilities/liliIncrease sales revenue through the development and execution of business/sales plans/liliEstablish a positive rapport with clients and collaborate closely with them to understand their needs/liliCollaborate with internal Customer Relationship team, ensuring the needs of our clients are being met/liliDevelop and maintain thorough understanding of the assigned territory and industry/liliLeverage knowledge of clients, industry trends, and changes to proactively anticipate and address the needs of clients/liliCollaborate with technical and marketing teams to create marketing materials and presentations targeted to specific industries and clients/liliUtilize Salesforce or other CRM software to identify, connect, and document sales activity with clients./liliManage personal work expenses effectively and within budget/liliTravel efficiently and safely throughout assigned region/liliCommission opportunities are available for this role/liliPerform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports and quotes, maintaining sales records, etc./liliMaintain current and complete files on all clients and client contacts/liliMaintain an elevated level of client contact/li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3pBachelors degree with a concentration in business or science as it relates to the industry/ppMinimum 1 year of industry experience in the related line of business/ppPrior sales experience and customer service experience/ppExcellent communication and presentation skills and abilities/ppConfidence leading meetings and negotiations/ppAbility to understand and align the needs of others with company services and present compelling value propositions/ppResidence within the communicated territory/region or willingness to relocate/ppGeneral understanding of the targeted industry/ppAcceptable driving record/ph3Working Conditions and Physical Requirements/h3pThe physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
