Sales Outfitter Position
The Sales Outfitter performs various selling and customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. Essential functions include supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Demonstrating product to customers, replenishing product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines, and remaining a product expert through ongoing product knowledge training are also part of the role. The Sales Outfitter remains knowledgeable of advertised sales, maintains pricing and signing, assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves, restocks merchandise as required, and keeps the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies. They follow all company policies and procedures and provide a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions. Experience/qualifications include a minimum degree of high school education or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and ability include the ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers, communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and other associates, establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers, and operate a computerized point of sale register system. Travel requirements are not applicable. Physical requirements include constantly standing and/or walking during a shift, occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., constantly communicating with others to exchange information, occasionally repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools, occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and occasionally working in tight and confined spaces and noisy environments. Independent judgment is required to complete work assignments, often making recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
