AAS - Associate of Applied Science Business or Health Care related required./ppExperience/ppTwo (2) years of charge posting and abstracting experience, working knowledge of the authorization process and working with insurance companies preferably in a hospital outpatient environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Knowledge of ICD-9CM and CPT-4 coding. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages accurately. Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Working knowledge of department required.
