This role will execute on strategies to drive sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction within a geographic area to meet operational goals including annual sales, margin targets, and operating income./ppDuties and Responsibilities:/pulliDevelop and execute strategies to drive new business and relationships in the assigned markets./liliRecruit, train, lead, and develop associates in all areas of job specific responsibilities./liliClearly define goals and objectives for Showroom personnel to measure performance and regularly communicate these objectives to personnel./liliLog all client showroom visits, contact information, and customer preference and selection notes in CMT./liliPromote showroom through all aspects of marketing/media and events concentrating to optimize exposure./liliMaintain and update design aid tools that help secure customer sales./liliMake outside sales calls and follow up on leads as needed./liliResponsible for the safe operations of the Gallery, including proper opening and closing of the store./liliPlan and host events to draw new customers into the Showroom./liliMaintain showroom samples and merchandising./liliAttend industry related events to network and promote the showroom./liliMake decisions on behalf of the team within the parameters of the unit or sub-unit./liliRecommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies./liliProvide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance./liliOversee day-to-day work schedules and plans./liliAct as an advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved in resolving problems./liliExercise judgment within defined procedures and policies./liliReview relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues./liliPerform other duties as needed./li/ulpRequired Experience and Education:/ppBachelors degree in a related field preferred. 6-8 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years of management experience./ppCompetencies:/ppRequires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Focused on and responsible for their teams productivity and collective impact. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products. Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures./ppOther Pertinent Job Information:/ppThis role will be responsible for direct reports. Travel required approximately 50% of the time. The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
