Billing Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented billing specialist to join a dynamic legal firm in their Mobile, AL or Pensacola, FL offices. In this role, you will manage the full spectrum of legal billing processes and ensure accurate and timely invoicing for the firm's clients. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization while building strong relationships with attorneys and clients. Responsibilities: Handle end-to-end legal billing processes, including preparation, submission, and follow-up on invoices. Manage eBilling systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of electronic invoices. Communicate directly with attorneys and clients to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and update systems as needed. Ensure compliance with billing guidelines and legal requirements. Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and address outstanding balances. Monitor billing deadlines and prioritize tasks to meet time-sensitive goals. Provide detailed billing reports and analysis to support financial decision-making. Assist with payroll functions for a staff size ranging from 101 to 500 employees. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the billing department. Minimum of two years of legal billing or e-Billing experience, including cradle-to-grave billing processes. Proficiency in eBilling platforms is strongly preferred. Exceptional communication skills for client and attorney interactions. Solid understanding of billing guidelines and legal compliance. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience with payroll systems for medium-sized organizations is a plus.
