
NAC Director of Quality Control
Responsible for the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program to ensure maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations are performed in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations and Company Operations Specifications. Responsible for the surveillance and quality control of all maintenance providers, overhaul facilities, aircraft records, airworthiness of Company operated aircraft, engines, components, appliances, and the release of them to service. Plan, organize, direct and control key activities, change procedures, and make safety risk acceptance decisions for the policies and processes within area of responsibility. Responsibilities include maintaining applicable Federal Aviation Administration manuals, overseeing aircraft records section, leading inspection section, overseeing quality control department, managing maintenance training and auditing section, evaluating and processing changes in inspection and maintenance procedures, approving inspection and maintenance or airworthiness release authority, assuring the quality control of all company aircraft and aircraft components, managing the calibrated equipment and shelf-life policies, ensuring compliance with maintenance weight and balance processes, identifying hazards within the Company's operations and systems, developing, implementing and maintaining SMS processes, fostering a positive and productive work environment, providing effective leadership, overseeing maintenance planning department, and all duties as assigned. Position qualifications and requirements include an Airframe & Powerplant License, a Bachelor's degree in business, Aviation, or a closely related discipline (Preferred), at least 3 years of maintenance experience on different types of large category aircraft with 10 or more passenger seats with an air carrier or certificated repair station, knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations, aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, the Company maintenance manuals, FAA approved Operations Specifications and applicable maintenance provisions of 14 CFR Part 121, strong leadership skills, 3 years past supervisory experience, prior experience preparing and monitoring budgets, a valid driver's license and good driving record. Language and communication skills include high level of interaction with internal and external stakeholders, ability to follow oral and written instructions, ability to give clear written and oral instructions, ability to read and interpret documents, ability to write reports, procedures manuals, correspondence, and other related materials, and ability to respond effectively verbally and in writing to inquiries from regulators. Work environment includes most work performed in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level, time spent in other environments such as maintenance hangar, outdoor airline ramp, etc, and exposure to adverse weather conditions, fumes, wet surfaces, and icy conditions. Physical effort includes regularly sitting and sometimes standing, seeing (including close vision), speaking and hearing, manual dexterity for input into or manipulation of spreadsheets, composing composition and reports, etc, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
