As part of the branch team, the Personal Banker will work toward attracting new clients to Key and work with existing clients to develop and expand relationships based on their unique financial goals, leading to client confidence in their finances. The Personal Banker is a client first, sales-driven, self-motivated, and competitive individual. focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively managing internal and external centers of influence./liliEnsuring compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions./liliSupport of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed./liliParticipate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end of day debriefs./liliWork on Saturdays as directed by management./liliPerforms other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice/liliComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Keys clients and Key./li/ulpEducation/pulliHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent business experience (required) or/liliBachelors Degree (preferred)/li/ulpWork Experience/pulliMinimum of 1 year experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources. Experience with sales is more important than financial services experience. KeyBank provides the tools and training, but we need relationship builders with a curious nature who are great at sparking conversations. (required)/liliUnderstanding of consumer credit - including loan to value, debt to income and credit reports. (required)/liliFoundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking. (required)/liliComfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact-finding questions with the goal of being helpful. (preferred)/liliDemonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence, as this role will require significant influence of partners such as Key Investment Services, Mortgage and Business Banking sales professionals. (required)/liliWorking knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.). It also includes deepening relationships with existing clients by offering additional products and services that meet their evolving needs./liliBeing attentive to client needs, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive banking experience. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
