The Director, External and Performance Marketing will lead the development and implementation of Hadassah’s strategic marketing plan to build brand awareness and meaning, differentiate Hadassah, strengthen competitiveness, support membership growth and philanthropic initiatives that help achieve revenue objectives. The director will lead the management of the creation and execution of all marketing activities plus tracking of and follow-up on all marketing metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and material
- Lead digital and print marketing initiatives, including paid advertising, content, SEO/SEM, AI Optimization and Google Ads, adopting new technologies as required
- Plan, manage and optimize advertising campaigns, across platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn and other relevant channels
- Oversee and grow the organization’s YouTube presence by managing channel strategy, publishing schedules, audience development, paid advertising, content optimization and performance reporting to drive engagement and measurable growth.
- Track, analyze and report on marketing performance using key metrics (ROI, CPC, conversion rates, engagement, donations, etc.)
- Use data and insights to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and marketing efficiency
- Oversee and manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met
- Manage Hadassah Shop, the organization’s e-merch site
- Collaborate with internal teams (digital communications, strategic communications, creative services, videography/photography) and external vendors or agencies, where required
- Along with other MarCom staff, the Director of Marketing will work with the local marketing managers on digital templates, cost efficiencies, brand consistency, lead best practices/training and other projects as needed
- Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively
- Manage, mentor and coordinate marketing team members or contractors as needed

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in marketing, communications, journalism or related fields
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in marketing leadership roles, with management experience leading a team or teams
- Knowledge of effective digital advertising, audience segmentation, organic and paid search, and search engine optimization strategies, including tracking and evaluating metrics
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading projects. Ability to manage and prioritize competing situations while balancing multiple responsibilities.
- Experiencing driving compelling messages and engaging representations of those messages via appropriate marketing channels to target audience
- Experience executing marketing and advertising plans and initiatives
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and project management programs, such as Basecamp and Monday.com
Required Skills
- Excellent oral, writing and editing skills; great attention to detail and quality of work product, and strong organizational skills, including timeliness and accuracy – all in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and data analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Sprout and Tableau
