THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PURCHASING ASSISTANT:
Creation and maintenance of purchase orders in SAP, including scheduling agreements and outline agreements
Resolution of basic PO issues, including but not limited to PO setup corrections, over-receipt of goods on PO’s, and resolving payment issues
Understanding of policies, procedures, and business rules
Initiation of Ivalua requests to support supplier setups
Review of operational and compliance reporting to resolve aging/outstanding issues
Follow up with end users, as needed, to address outstanding issues on the PO
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING ABOVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE LIKE:
Basic education (high school diploma)
Experience with data entry in SAP or similar ERP systems
Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office tools (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel)
Ability to learn and comply with company policies, procedures, and business rules
Time management and task execution skills
Detail-oriented and accurate, able to multitask, and meet transactional performance metrics
Ability to resolve basic issues
Ability to share knowledge with peers and internal stakeholders
Good communication skills with internal and external partners
Preferred Qualifications
Higher education (Associate’s degree)
Experience with data entry in SAP, especially in accounts payable or purchasing departments
Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel)
