The Patient Account Specialist is responsible for reviewing charges for accuracy and appropriate usage of ICD10, CPT, and HCPC codes to maximize reimbursement for EVMS Medical Group. Responsibilities
Review clinical documentation to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant charge capture prior to submission. Research, resolve, and respond to tasks in the professional billing workqueues. Assist providers and clinical staff with billing and coding questions and issues. Manually post charges in EPIC. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Skills: Working knowledge of ICD10/CPT coding in a medical office setting. Knowledge of insurance carrier rules and regulations. Requires detail oriented, adaptability, independent thinking, and problem solving.
