Overview Heffernan Insurance Brokers is looking for an Assistant Account Manager Trainee to join its Small Business team. This is an entry-level position designed to provide exposure to Account Management responsibilities, with the intent to eventually transition into a Large Commercial role. Heffernan is seeking an intelligent self-starter who is looking for a career with upward mobility. Responsibilities

Renewal Processing Workflow as assigned by Team Lead or Fulfillment Executive. Coordinate driver, vehicle, and mailing address changes. Notice of Cancellation and nonpayment follow-ups. Assist with billing and claim reporting questions. Reach out to carriers for renewal solicitation and quotes. Help gather and send information for bind requests or additional quoting information. Request information and applications from clients using our online platform. Help clients navigate our online systems: application/signature platform, payment links, and client portal. Backup team members when they are out of the office. Coordinate invoicing, prepare certificates, and provide evidence of insurance. Join Team Lead/Fulfillment Executive on coverage or proposal review calls. Learn carrier websites through online submissions, endorsement requests, and billing inquiries. Respond to client requests in a timely and accurate manner. Follow up and close open activities in EPIC (agency management system). Pursue and obtain P&C license and other continuing education opportunities. Document activities thoroughly with proper E&O procedures. Perform other duties usual to servicing commercial accounts and participate in special projects as assigned. Requirements

Education – High School graduate or GED required. Experience working in an office environment preferred. Insurance experience and/or license is not required, but the ability to obtain a license is required. Effective written and verbal communication and collaboration skills. Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.). Must be organized and able to manage time effectively. Professional demeanor and behavior aligned with Heffernan’s core values (Habits). Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 to 55,000. The offer will depend on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
