Job Summary
Nationwide Financial invites associates to join a Fortune 100 company dedicated to extraordinary care. The role is part of a 7‑week training program that sets you up for success and confidence. Post‑training schedule hours could fall between 8 AM and 11 PM ET Monday to Friday, with a potential Saturday shift of 9 AM to 6 PM ET. The position follows a hybrid work schedule: 2 days in office and 3 days remote work each week during training and post‑training.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to incoming calls from investment professionals, plan sponsors, and members on a variety of topics, and understand the different product suites.
Interpret and apply changes and enhancements to new and old products, identify the question(s) behind the question to offer consultative expertise.
Maintain a record of conversations and follow a documentation process.
Follow all rules and regulations to ensure compliance with FINRA and other professional licensure requirements, Nationwide policies, state and local laws.
Educate customers on tax implications, penalties/surrender charges, death benefit protection, lifetime income, capital preservation and benefits pertaining to the plan/contract.
Analyze problems to determine proper course of action, striving for first‑time final resolution and working with internal partners to resolve escalated issues.
Develop and grow through monthly individual meetings with leadership to set a career path strategy.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Undergraduate degree in finance, business administration, insurance, economics, communications preferred.
License/Certification/Designation:
ChFC, CLU, other industry designations desirable. FINRA Series 6 and/or 26 licenses preferred and may be required.
Experience:
One year of experience in customer service, sales related occupations.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Knowledge of various insurance products and sales process. Solid understanding of state and local laws. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with computers and common office software.

Licensing Requirements
Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license must be obtained prior to start date or within the first 120 days of employment.
Series 6 and Series 63 licenses must be obtained prior to start date or within the first 180 days of employment.
Salary and Total Rewards The total rewards package includes a minimum salary of $47,151 ($23.40/hr) with a competitive benefits package. Salary range for this role is $46,345 to $75,500, and the expected starting salary range is $46,345 to $60,800.
