About the Role:
SPARK INSURANCE GROUP INC is hiring a Licensed Insurance Account Manager (CSR) to support our growing insurance agency in Joliet, IL. This is a service and operations role focused on policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, certificates, and carrier communication. You will manage day-to-day service work for a book of business and ensure requests are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with agency procedures and carrier guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Service an assigned book of business and maintain professional client communication
Process policy changes and endorsements (vehicles, drivers, coverages, lienholders, etc.)
Issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) accurately and promptly
Manage renewals including follow-ups, documentation, and renewal checklists
Communicate with carriers, MGAs, and underwriters to request changes, verify requirements, and resolve issues
Track and assist with cancellations, reinstatements, non-pay notices, and documentation needs
Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant files in the agency management system/CRM
Follow agency workflows, turnaround standards, and documentation requirements
Identify missing information, prevent errors, and escalate concerns to management when needed
Requirements:
Valid Illinois Property & Casualty license (required)
2+ years of experience in an insurance service/account management role (commercial preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in an agency management system/CRM and learning new tools quickly
Ability to work independently while following documented processes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience servicing commercial auto / trucking accounts
Experience with certificates, endorsements, and renewals in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with E&S, MGAs, or transportation-related insurance workflows
Work Environment & Expectations
This is a service-focused role (not a sales position)
Success is measured by accuracy, turnaround time, clean files, and renewal execution
