We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer/Editor to provide comprehensive configuration and data management support to an established program area. This support mainly involves editing and formatting technical and status documents and maintaining configuration control of the document baseline. The Technical Writer/Editor will collaborate with program personnel to ensure alignment with contractual requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices. The role involves planning, managing, and reporting on documentation created to fulfill customer configuration requirements and supporting Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) technical editing activities.

The position is based at the L3Harris Program Management Office located in Colorado Springs. The position requires the employee to work in person at the PMO facility Monday-Friday during standard business hours.

Essential Functions: • Perform editing and formatting of technical reports, program status reports, task order proposals, and various other contractually required documents. • Proactively identify data errors and ensure accuracy. • Ensure that all program documentation complies with internal standards, formatting requirements, and contractual obligations, and that proper document control procedures are applied. • Manage files and collaborate with program staff using Microsoft Share Point. • Create and maintain configuration baselines of required documentation to include Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). • Coordinate document changes ensuring approval requirements are met and implementation is managed. • Ensure rigorous adherence to Contract Performance Work Statement (PWS), policies, procedures, and technical documentation. • Ensure content creators follow data identification, marking, review and release procedures. • Integrate with program teams to coordinate deliveries. • Ensure identification, definition, implementation, release and maintenance of data items and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) schedules are in accordance with program requirements. • Coordinate the internal review of documentation.

Qualifications: • Requires proficient knowledge of job area, plus the following educational and/or experience requirements: o Bachelor's Degree in English or related field, and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or o Graduate Degree in English or related field, and a minimum of 1 year of prior related experience. o In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience • Excellent grammatical and written communication skills • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Adobe Acrobat and/or Nitro Pro, and limited use of Excel • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

Preferred Additional Skills: • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Share Point • Understanding of ASME Y14.100 • Understanding of DoD 50101.12-M Procedures for the Acquisition and Management of Technical Data • Knowledge of EIA-649B, EIA-649C or MIL-STD-973 Configuration Management Principles as they apply to both Hardware and Software • Experienced in reading and understanding Contract Statements of Work
