The Director of Finance Portfolio Management and Strategy is an essential player in the creation and execution of our Finance function's strategic roadmap. This role collaborates closely with Finance leadership, IT, Enterprise Data Governance, and various cross-functional teams to propel pivotal initiatives, assure effective portfolio management, and instigate continuous improvement throughout the Finance organization. This position requires periodic travel to Humana's Louisville headquarters at least once a month.

Assist in shaping and enhancing the Finance target state and strategic roadmap alongside senior stakeholders.

Gain an in-depth understanding of requirements and priorities across Finance divisions and the business teams they support, guiding the strategic direction and execution plans.

Contribute to establishing and refining prioritization frameworks, collaborating with Finance stakeholders to evaluate and validate proposed priorities and initiatives.

Analyze financial implications of proposed investments, enabling senior management to assess alternatives against the organization's business goals.

Coordinate with Finance, IT, Enterprise Data Governance, and other relevant teams to ensure efficient sequencing of initiatives, identify dependencies, and develop detailed project plans with clear KPIs and value metrics.

Track progress against established milestones and project budgets, delivering timely updates and reports to stakeholders.

Address ad-hoc priorities as necessary, including preparing materials for the Enterprise Transformation Office and other executive audiences.

Design and implement streamlined portfolio management processes, including project reporting and budget tracking, in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Jointly manage the Finance change portfolio and budget with IT and Finance teams, promoting transparency and accountability among all stakeholders.

Collect and track value measures in line with Transformation Office methodology to evaluate the impact of key initiatives.

Assist in developing training, communication, and capability-building programs to prepare Finance for future success.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices relevant to Finance, advising on their application where applicable.

Encourage collaboration and the exchange of best practices within the Finance organization, acting as a connector among teams.

Exhibit strong communication and problem-solving skills, synthesizing complex information and delivering clear messages to diverse audiences.

Utilize your skills to create a meaningful impact. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

More than 6 years of experience in portfolio management, strategy development, and project management within a Finance or corporate environment.

At least 2 years of project leadership experience.

Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully execute complex initiatives.

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective processes and training programs.

Familiarity with emerging technologies and process improvement methodologies.

A genuine passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously enhancing consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business Administration or CPA is strongly preferred.

Previous experience in the health insurance industry specifically within Finance/Accounting.

Travel: While this is a remote role, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be necessary. Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 Pay Range:

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may vary based on location and individual qualifications and experience. $104,000 - $143,000 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
