As the Director Financial Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial systems and processes of the company. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial data and provide strategic guidance for the company's financial operations.
Thecompany is seeking an experienced
Directorof Financial Systems
to lead the support, optimization, andadministration of Oracle Financial applications, including
General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, CashManagement, and Fixed Assets . This finance-based role is a vital linkbetween business operations and ITensuring Oracle tools are used efficientlyand enhanced as business needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with finance teams to gather requirements and implement processenhancements within Oracle EBS R12.
-Partner with developers and tech teams to design, test, and roll out systemupdates and new features.
-Provide hands-on support to users, helping them navigate tools efficiently andadopt new functionality.
- Conduct QA testing for upgrades, bug fixes, new features, and system changes.
-Lead conference room pilots, facilitate end-user training, and drive businessprocess improvements.
-Create and maintain documentation for business processes and systemmodifications.
-Coordinate cross-functional projects across multiple departments.
Develop and implement financial systems and processes to support the company's goals and objectives
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of financial data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
- Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management for financial planning and decision-making
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and system administrators
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying any potential risks or opportunities
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve financial systems and processes
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the effectiveness of financial systems and processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial systems and processes, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
-5+ years of hands-on experience with
Oracle EBS R12 Financials
(GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets).
-Strong understanding of
Multi-Org structures
and Oracle Financials.
-Solid foundation in
finance/accounting principles .
- Experience working with
Oracle Support
to resolve issues.
-Familiarity with
Toad ,
SQLPlus , and ability to write/adapt
SQL queries .
-Proven problem-solver with sound judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across technical and non-technical teams.
-Experience with
Excel4Apps
is a plus!
-Experience in process improvement and implementing financial systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in financial software and systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks
