Role Summary

Anthropologie is seeking an Associate Designer to create thoughtful, one-of-a-kind designs that reflect our seasonal vision and resonate with the Anthropologie customer.

#LI-JH1 Role Responsibilities

Work on the seasonal line planning process from concept through completion, ensuring each product aligns with market trends, business strategy, and the Anthropologie aesthetic. Research and interpret emerging trends, cultural influences, and inspiration to inform product development and storytelling. Actively contribute to concept development by translating creative direction into meaningful design inspiration. Mentor, supervise, and delegate to Assistant Designer and Interns, fostering collaboration while supporting the overall design workload. Source and shop global raw material markets, partnering closely with Product Development to create materials that meet both design vision and pricing goals. Clearly communicate design intent and style details to Senior Designer and Product Development, collaborating with Technical Design when relevant to establish accurate specifications for approved silhouettes. Partner daily with Design Team to track styles through the development process, ensuring execution stays true to the original design vision. Participate in weekly fittings and key cross-functional design meetings to refine fit, detail, and execution. #L #LI-JH1

Role Qualifications

Demonstrates a strong creative point of view with an ability to identify and interpret fashion, cultural, and lifestyle trends relevant to the Anthropologie customer. Solid foundation in garment construction with hands-on experience working with knits and wovens, yarns, trims, washes, and basic draping or mock-ups on dress forms. Working knowledge of knit and woven manufacturing processes and techniques, with a desire to continue building technical expertise. Able to translate business goals into thoughtful, creative, and commercially viable design solutions. Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. An enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with partners in Design, Buying, Product Development, and Production. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator; familiarity with Web PDM is a plus. Strong hand-sketching skills with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas. Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field preferred. #LI-JH1
