The Customer Service Chat Representative is the first point of contact for customers utilizing Complete Tax services. You will support our 3rd party sales representatives through chat software, answering inquiries about our in-house tax software and general tax-related questions. This role involves using our tools, such as the IRS Where's My Refund site, to provide accurate solutions to customer queries. Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Acquire foundational knowledge of tax preparation. Gain proficiency in operating our in-house tax software used for preparing tax returns. Utilize chat software to address customer inquiries and ensure effective communication. Engage with customers in a warm, professional manner. Identify and assess underlying issues associated with customer inquiries. Deliver timely support and solutions in alignment with company policies. Communicate effectively with colleagues via Microsoft Teams. Demonstrate general computer proficiency including internet browsing, emailing, and online research. Position Qualifications Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong multi-tasking abilities. Competence in utilizing computer systems for customer interactions. Ability to thrive in a small team environment. Proficient in navigating online resources for information retrieval. Experience in a customer service or call center role is a plus. Previous tax experience is advantageous. Willingness to travel to corporate office as needed and work from home during emergencies. Physical Demands and Work Environment Position entails working at a desk in the corporate office for extended hours, up to eight hours per day. Headset or communication devices may be required for collaboration. Availability to work on weekends and some holidays is necessary. Employee Acknowledgement
