Claims Examiner - Commercial Auto Property Damage Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Claims Examiner

specializing in Commercial Auto Property Damage to join a team. This role involves managing, processing, and resolving 1st and 3rd party Commercial Material Damage claims within defined authority. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial/transportation claims handling, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to claim resolution. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite at one of the office locations. Compensation Package Salary Range : $75,000 - $95,000 per year, plus up to 10% bonus. Responsibilities Directly handle 1st and 3rd party Commercial Transportation and Trucking Physical Damage claims, including coverage, liability, damages, and reserves. Investigate, analyze, and resolve claims in a timely and efficient manner. Manage subrogation, arbitration, and salvage processes. Collaborate with appraisers, investigators, adjusters, and experts as needed. Maintain accurate and comprehensive claim files, ensuring proper documentation and resolution. Review and verify policy limits, deductibles, locations, exclusions, and endorsements. Monitor claim status for potential exposure opportunities. Participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of claims handling experience, preferably within the commercial/transportation field. Proven experience in handling commercial trucking, bus, and/or commercial auto claims is required. Experience with moving and storage cargo claims is a plus. AIC or CPCU designation is preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial transportation policies, including trucking policies. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Self-motivated and proactive in claim investigation and resolution.
