The Default Services Specialist II is responsible for executing advanced servicing functions across both Retail and Lease portfolios, with a strong emphasis on compliance with consumer lending laws, regulatory standards, and internal policies. This role requires deep expertise in loss mitigation strategies, legal documentation, and specialized servicing procedures. As a subject matter expert, the Default Services Specialist II will handle complex account scenarios, collaborate with internal departments and third-party vendors, and actively contribute to process optimization efforts. Success in this role demands strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and clear communication with leadership to support both departmental initiatives and broader organizational goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Independently manage complex impound and abandoned vehicle accounts, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with applicable laws. Process and resolve deceased borrower accounts, including coordination with legal, compliance, and external stakeholders. Handle replevin accounts with a thorough understanding of state-specific legal requirements. Monitor and enforce compliance with the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act (SCRA), including account coding, documentation, and audit readiness. Generate, validate, and oversee the timely delivery of compliance letters such as Right to Cure (RTC), Notice of Intent (NOI), and Application of Proceeds (AOP), escalating deviations as needed. Lead exception reporting efforts for letter failures, missing data, and system errors, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve escalated servicing issues and ensure alignment with regulatory standards. Contribute to workflow analysis and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. Other duties may be assigned; responsibilities may change. Qualifications and Competencies Required

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in auto finance, collections, default servicing, or consumer lending. Demonstrated experience handling complex servicing scenarios such as deceased accounts, impounds, replevin, and SCRA compliance. Education

High School Diploma / GED required Skills Required

Advanced attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive documentation and compliance letters Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and document management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of consumer lending regulations and loss mitigation practices Additional Requirements

This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time. An applicant must
