The Opportunity
Are you a strategic communications professional with a passion for storytelling, driving engagement, and creating bold messages? In this role, you will shape internal and external communications for a global technology leader in the US. As the world’s energy landscape evolves to meet surging electricity demands, this is your chance to develop and deliver impactful communications programs that connect people, ideas, and innovation.
You’ll be based at our North America headquarters, collaborating with colleagues across the region and globally as part of our US communications team. If you thrive in dynamic environments and have a knack for turning complex ideas into powerful stories, we want to hear from you.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Create and execute strategic communications plans supporting U.S. operations
Create engaging written and visual communications across all channels, including newsletters, social media, and event communications
Provide communications support for various corporate and employee events, including facility openings, trade shows, and related activities
Support executive communications and thought leadership initiatives
Manage internal communications and change management programs for the U.S.
Support media, government, and community relations colleagues
Execute successful U.S. stakeholder interactions with audiences such as media, government officials, and related influencer audiences.
Oversee the rollout and localization of global communications initiatives and change management plans within the US
Partner and collaborate with branding, the global communications community, and business unit communications teams
Apply creative problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
Demonstrate self-drive, commitment to excellence, and flexibility in adapting to change
Utilize strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your Background
Bring 5+ years of professional communications experience
Demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing effective communications strategies and campaigns
Manage projects successfully, drive innovation, and build collaborative relationships
Experience with event management and executive communications
Strong understanding of digital channels and social media strategies
Exhibit exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills (writing samples will be requested)
Skilled with creating compelling visuals and using corporate design elements effectively
Possess excellent written and oral English language skills; proficiency in other languages is a plus
Background in energy or technology sectors preferred
Experience working in a global, complex organization and cross-functional teams (preferred)
Must possess work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States
