Position Summary
We are seeking a
highly motivated and experienced BMW Sales Manager
to lead our new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of driving performance, building high-performing teams, and delivering outstanding guest satisfaction. This individual will play a key role in achieving departmental profitability and growth while upholding the highest ethical standards and commitment to the BMW brand.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage monthly and annual sales forecasts, gross and operating profit targets, and department expense budgets.
Lead and mentor the sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
Facilitate weekly sales meetings and continuous product and sales training to ensure team growth and knowledge.
Collaborate with new and used vehicle sales managers to set and achieve departmental objectives.
Oversee the display, merchandising, and promotion of new and pre-owned inventory, ensuring all marketing initiatives are pre-approved and aligned with brand standards.
Manage vehicle inventory levels to support sales volume and market demand, including ordering and acquisition.
Work closely with the General Manager to review performance reports and implement short- and long-term strategic plans.
Handle guest escalations professionally, maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction and retention.
Audit trade-in appraisals to ensure accuracy, consistency, and profitability.
Manage demo and AMP (Alternate Mobility Program) vehicles and ensure all associated records are maintained accurately in Dealertrack, Service, and accounting systems.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of automotive sales management experience, BMW or luxury brand experience preferred
Proven ability to lead a successful sales team with a strong focus on performance and guest experience
In-depth understanding of dealership operations, sales processes, and financial metrics
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with dealership CRM and DMS systems (Dealertrack, VinSolutions, VAuto)
Ability to analyze data, manage inventory, and make strategic decisions
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
