
Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Handling asset management matters, including but not limited to fund formation as well as post-formation maintenance for a range of asset management products (including SFC authorized funds, ETFs, hedge funds, FoF funds, QDII and RQFII investment related matters etc)
Handling discretionary management account related matters and negotiation of IMAs
Providing legal advice and daily support to the asset management business units within CICC
Providing support to Senior Legal Counsel and handling other assignments designated by Senior Legal Counsel from time to time
Skills and Abilities
At least three years of post-qualification experience expected, preferably gained from international law firms, asset management firms or investment banks
Solid legal knowledge and experience in handling asset management related matters
Good drafting and communication skills
Strong sense of responsibility, diligence, integrity and professional ethics
Fluent in written and spoken English & Chinese
Good team player
Qualifications
Law degree from a recognized law school
Qualified in UK, Hong Kong, US, Singapore or other common law jurisdictions
