Job Description: Adult Day Center Activity Director
Elite Day Center of Rock Hill is accepting applications for an Activity Director to develop and manage a comprehensive activity and wellness program tailored for our day center members. Elite Day Health Care is an adult day center providing care for individuals 18 years old and up with various cognitive and/or physical disabilities that do not allow them to stay home alone. We provide a safe, active and social environment for them during the week.
The Activity Director will be responsible for designing a monthly events calendar, ensuring that all activities comply with DPHand DHHS regulations.
This role involves researching and liaising with local volunteers and resources to introduce engaging programs and speakers to the center, as well as organizing safe and enjoyable outings for our members. Additionally, the Activity Director will collaborate with Member Assistants to execute daily activity and wellness programming, oversee the activity care plan, maintain daily documentation and quarterly progress reports for each member and conduct monthly member meetings.
Experience/Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred experience working with elderly and/or young adults with various disabilities and diagnosis
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, must be outgoing and have an upbeat personality
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Physically willing and capable of assisting members with personal care tasks as needed
Job Type: Full-time, 8 hours/day
No Weekends or Holidays
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (We do not provide overnight care)
Weekly Pay with benefit eligibility after 30 days of employment
