Job Summary/Description:
Gray Media is looking for a Senior PHP / Laravel Developer with strong experience building and maintaining modern web applications, with a particular focus on sales and revenue-supporting applications. This role will work alongside the Gray Digital Development team to design, build, and evolve internal tools and integrations that support sales operations, data workflows, and business intelligence.
This position is remote.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using PHP (8+) and the Laravel framework
Lead and contribute the modernization of legacy PHP applications into Laravel-based solutions
Build and maintain internal APIs and integrations with third-party platforms
Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases on a per-application basis
Collaborate closely with product owners, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business and sales requirements into technical solutions
Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural input, and mentoring of other developers
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues
Collaborate with other developers on multi-developer and cross-team projects
Write unit and integration tests to help avoid regressions and validate functionality
Qualifications/Requirements:
4+ years of professional experience working with PHP
4+ years of experience working with the Laravel framework
Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL
Proficient in parsing and serializing JSON data
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Proficient in using git and GitHub
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment
Preferred Experience:
Experience building or supporting sales, advertising, or revenue-focused applications
Hands‑on experience working with external platforms such as Salesforce, Snowflake, and The Trade Desk to support application workflows, data exchange, and reporting
Experience with Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, and Tailwind (TALL Stack)
Experience integrating AI‑powered services or APIs to support automation, data enrichment, analysis, or internal tooling
Experience using AWS services such as CDK, S3, EC2, and RDS
Familiarity with Docker or similar containerization tools
