
Founded in 1925, the Larchmont Shore Club (LSC) is a home away from home for more than 500 member families who enjoy a broad array of activities across the Club’s seven acres. Amenities include multiple indoor and outdoor dining outlets, beach and pool activities, a 4-lane bowling alley, a fishing dock, five Har-Tru tennis courts, and children’s summer activities including summer camp and sailing. The Club also has six renovated guest rooms that are actively used by the members and their out-of-town guests. Located in Westchester County, Larchmont is an affluent village in the town of Mamaroneck and is approximately 18 miles from NYC.
Position Overview The Dining Room Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of dining room operations within the Club’s main clubhouse, ensuring exceptional, personalized dining experience for members and their guests. This position upholds the Club’s standards of service, hospitality, and presentation while supervising dining room staff, maintaining strong member relationships, and managing operations within established financial guidelines. This role supports revenue growth through elevated service, member retention, and thoughtful programming consistent with a private country club culture.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferable in a private-, non-profit club environment
Experience with Northstar preferred but not a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Competency in Excel and Word
Team oriented, approachable, and engaging personality
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies & Expectations
In-depth knowledge of private country club dining operations and member-centered service standards
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with members through frequent interaction and personalized service
Strong understanding of traditional and formal dining service styles
Knowledge of emergency procedures, safety standards, and club policies
Proficiency in POS systems, reservation management, payroll, and revenue controls
Demonstrated leadership, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail expected in a private club setting
Key Tasks & Duties
Oversee all dining room service in the main clubhouse, ensuring service consistency aligned with private club standards
Design floor plans and manage reservations to accommodate member preferences and special requests
Greet and seat members and guests, maintaining a visible presence throughout service periods
Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dining room staff; lead pre-meal meetings
Enforce appearance, uniform, and service standards appropriate to a private country club environment
Serve as liaison between dining room and kitchen to ensure smooth, timely service
Monitor labor, supplies, and operating budgets; produce revenue, forecast, and POS reports
Oversee payroll verification and compliance with Club policies
Maintain dining room cleanliness, safety, equipment, and inventory to the Club’s standards
Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu updates and special dining events
Ensure compliance with local and state alcohol service laws and Club policies
Act as Manager on Duty and ensure security of dining and clubhouse areas when required
Perform additional duties and special projects assigned by the AGM
Salary & Benefits A competitive salary will be offered based on experience and qualifications ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, including a benefits package, bonus potential, meals while on duty and paid time off.
