In this role, you will serve as a leadership partner to the Athletic Director while taking direct ownership of youth sports development (K–8) and supporting the oversight and growth of high school athletics. This role blends leadership, coaching development, program building, and operational execution. Youth Sports Leadership (K–8)
Design, lead, and continuously improve K–8 athletic programming aligned to Aug Prep’s mission and long‑term athletic vision
Build clear development pathways that prepare students for high school athletics
Recruit, train, support, and evaluate youth sports coaches
Establish consistent expectations, coaching philosophies, and developmental standards
Partner with school leaders to increase participation, retention, and student engagement
Strengthen feeder systems across grade levels and campuses
High School Athletics Support
Serve as an Assistant Athletic Director supporting high school athletic programs
Assist with coach supervision, evaluation, and development
Support long‑range planning for program growth, competitive readiness, and student experience
Step in to lead initiatives, problem‑solve challenges, and support program execution as needed
Serve as an administrative presence at events and competitions
Program Development & Leadership
Help build and maintain Christ‑centered athletic culture across all programs
Support coach onboarding, professional development, and accountability systems
Assist in creating clear systems, playbooks, and expectations for coaches and families
Communicate clearly and proactively with families, students, and staff
Operations & Administration
Support scheduling, facilities usage, and event coverage in partnership with department leaders
Assist with eligibility tracking, compliance, and documentation
Support budgeting processes, inventory management, and purchasing oversight
Ensure strong coordination between athletics, facilities, and other co‑curricular programs
Learn and apply emerging AI tools for scheduling, communication, reporting, and workflows
Improve department efficiency through automation, systems design, and digital organization
What We’re Looking For
A belief in the ability of every child and commitment to excellence
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
Alignment with Aug Prep’s Mission, North Star, and Christian values
Strong organizational, logistics, and communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Drive)
Comfort learning and applying new technologies and AI tools
High attention to detail with strong follow‑through
Ability to manage multiple timelines calmly and accurately
Team player with a service mindset
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
