Description What We DO! Leadership:

Consults with restaurant management and Ops, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Serve as the point of contact for all benefit questions, deductions, enrollments, reconciliations, recruiting, etc. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Partner with accounting on payroll, including deductions, PTO, new-hires, terminations, etc.

Execution:

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Manage employee changes, terminations, and other employee lifecycle changes. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. Maintain positive relationships with managers and employees and serve as an HR Business Partner for change and understanding of HR and Company policies.

Results:

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to restaurant management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Assist with on-the-job injury and workers' compensation claims. Must be proactive on safety and work with the HR Director on strategies for enforcing a safe work environment.

What you bring!

5+ years of HR experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The capability to apply discretion and sound judgment in managing complex processes, decisions, and handling sensitive information. Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA) and the ability to appropriately spot employment risk issues. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to balance multiple assignments

Physical/Mental Requirements Uses a personal computer approximately 40 hours a week Uses telephone and email to communicate with customers, both internal and external, approximately 2-4 hours per day Sits approximately 5-8 hours per day Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately up 10% (locally in ATX as needed and occasionally to Houston, Dallas, and Plano) Occasional weekend work may be required
