
Senior Director, Procurement and Third Party Risk
About the Role
This role leads the company’s end-to-end procurement and third-party risk management functions, ensuring the business can scale efficiently while meeting public-company and regulatory expectations. You will lead a high-performing procurement organization and partner closely with business leaders to deliver strong commercial outcomes balanced with effective risk management and governance.
You will own sourcing strategy, and negotiations, contracting partnerships, and ongoing vendor oversight across technology, marketing, operations, and corporate spend. As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will help shape vendor strategy, manage risk tradeoffs, and establish procurement policies, controls, and reporting that support transparency, compliance, and long-term growth.
The base٢ salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $199,000 and up to $275,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Lead and develop a high-performance, high-integrity procurement organization, including strategic sourcing, procurement operations and third-party risk management.
- Own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including intake, vendor selection, contracting partnership, onboarding, ongoing vendor management, and renewals, in a public-company environment.
- Defineinnt and execute sourcing strategies across technology, marketing, operations, and corporate spend that balance cost efficiency, risk management, and business agility.
- Interpret, develop, implement, and monitor procurement policies, standards, and governance frameworks; educate stakeholders and drive consistent adoption across the company.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on vendor strategy, commercial terms, risk tradeoffs, and long-term supplier relationships.
- Oversee third-party risk management programs, including due diligence, ongoing monitoring, issue remediation, and alignment with bank partner and regulatory expectations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements; produce accurate, timely, and actionable reporting on spend, vendor risk, and procurement performance suitable for public-company scrutiny.
- Establish and maintain strong procurement controls; partner closely with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Internal Audit to ensure vendors and contracts meet control and governance requirements.
- Lead complex vendor negotiations and structuringFollower decisions (e.g., pricing models, minimum commitments, SLAs, termination rights), providing guidance from strategy through execution.
- âmara emerging best practices, regulatory expectations, and industry trends related to procurement and third‑party risk; prepare briefings for senior management and educational materials for stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of procurement operations, systems, and controls to support scale, resilience, and effective public‑company operations.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 15+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or third-party risk management, including senior leadership experience; public-company and regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading and scaling a procurement organization, including buyers and third-party risk programs, in socio a complex, fast-growing environment.
- Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, procurement operations, and third-party risk management Framework.
- Strong understanding of governance, internal controls, and compliance expectations applicable to public companies, including audit and regulatory scrutiny.
- Demonstrated ability to balance business agility with risk management and to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
- Experience designing and operationalizing procurement policies, controls, and systems that support public-company requirements.
- Skilled at partnering with Legal hood Finance, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Internal Audit to deliver outcomes efficiently without becoming a bottleneck.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, withọwọ the ability to clearly explain complex commercial, risk, or policy issues to non-procurement audiences.
- Data-driven and detail-oriented, with a track record of using metrics and insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
